Work is too busy this week. They've got me indoctrinated the new blood. I'm going to have to post another of those annoying 'on rotation' place holders.

And yes, it is a fucking appalling cover. But they do great covers. The other kinda covers. Nah mean?

recap one

So, the weekend. Friday was mostly euphoria, interrupted only by a slight organisational mix-up which for a moment I feared was going to leave me leaving LO-RES03 early and boarding the last train back to London - but no, the Lord will provide, or in this instance the plums. (Am I going to end up linking to all the people whom I saw at the weekend? Quite possibly...)

LO-RES was mighty, even if the three hours did seem to fly by (in the low ride). My only regret is that I somehow forget to take home one of the pretty things available - no, not a hipster in a white belt and single fingerless glove - the Miss Pain beer-mat (left hand image on the middle row if you follow the LO-RES link - er, I like the others too of course...).

I haven't heard any of Miss Pain's music, but I refuse to believe they could be less than decent if they have aesthetic skizzills like that.

Speaking of things of beauty available that night, consider this an official announcement: Jenny Everywhere A.K.A. The Shifter, a mini-comic by myself and Nelson Evergreen, is now available in print form. It collects the two Jenny stories we've done to date (more info on Jenny here), together with a gorgeous colour cover and back cover blurb which attempts to be witty. It's selling for one and a half English pounds or trade (music/zines/I'm really easily swayed, actually...), although if you're reading this I may well owe you a free copy. Since I don't fancy putting the location of the New Hip-Hop, Politically Correct HQ online, e-mail me (click 'get at me' above) if you'd like one and I'll send you the address.

Go on, it's the must-have hipster accessory for the summer.

Much too hungover to talk about the weekend yet, except to say that it ran the full range of emotions, from elation to actual weeping... But all will come turn out for the good, have we such faith in the blah blah whatthehellwasheonabout?
