Oh, and I wish I'd known about the launch tonight, but since I didn't - first Friday in July, peeps (y'know, all you people linked down the left who are in Lond- or Right-On, but especially plums for bringing it to my attention, and Red because we haven't been dancing yet) - and assuming boys like me can actually get in - we must go dance dance dance at this. Yes?

Everything's shifting again. Mostly in good ways: the vat-grown, silent-running, passive-aggressive flatmate is moving out, to be replaced by a couple of people I actually get on with and like (one official, and one unofficial). Then there's Red herself, who has just left the New Hip-Hop, PC Towers after a week of decadence (ice-cream, Monopoly - y'know, stuff like that), but will be back, it would seem, with much-needed regularity. The only big change looming that isn't entirely positive is the prospect of looking for a new job, preferably before rather than after my current contract expires towards the end of September. Not that my job at present is something to be loved, exactly... It just fulfills a couple of handy functions: it pays my way, just; it allows me to spend a large portion of the working day on the net; and it means that I walk out into central London at 5pm feeling relatively unstressed. At this stage, my only real priority in terms of a replacement is filling that first role, ideally even more so. But it would also be nice to do something that I didn't get immediately defensive about when people ask that awful question "what are you doing these days?".

Anyway, most of this weekend needs to spent doing one kind of writing or another, I feel. Watch this space.
